Thank you to all those who have signed up to serve with World Relief’s Kids’ Club next month! We have 9 adults and 2 kids who will be serving alongside volunteers from other churches. Praise God, and pray for a good month together! Interested in joining us, see the information below!
This summer, we have a wonderful opportunity to support World Relief in their English classes for elementary and middle school students. This is a variation of last year’s Kid’s Club and provides a great chance to reconnect with some of the kids we met last year. You are invited to join the Batavia Covenant Church (BCC) team and help minister to these refugee and immigrant children!
There are several ways for you to participate. You can help with set-up, recreation, snacks, tutoring or clean-up. You are also welcome to bring your own kids and serve alongside them. We are hoping to have a BCC volunteer team commit to assisting on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 – 11:30 am; however, it is possible for individuals to plug into different days or times if that works better for your schedule. The program runs July 8th – August 1st and will be held at Morningstar Church on the west side of Aurora. This facility has indoor and outdoor spaces, so weather won’t be an issue. For anybody that has not previously volunteered with World Relief there is an application, background check, and orientation process that must be completed prior to serving. Permission slips will also need to be completed for any children who will be volunteering.
If you would like to explore this opportunity, please fill out a connection card during church or contact Patty Hofmann at email@example.com.
