Re-gathering for Sunday Worship – Next Steps

Our leadership team is continuing to refine our plan for returning to worship together on Sunday mornings. In this stage, some small group gatherings are happening at church (limited to 10 people), but most of our groups have elected to wait until fall to regather.

What is happening now are preparations for the next phase, when we will be gathering people back into the sanctuary for Sunday morning worship. At this point, our preparation includes experimenting with modifications to our worship service order, enhancing our technical setup to refine our live stream, and gathering the necessary volunteers and ministry partners to make gathering work. And don’t worry – the Sunday morning live-stream and Zoom small groups will continue for the foreseeable future, so we won’t leave anyone behind.

Are you ready to return to Sunday morning church and willing to help others do the same? We are looking for volunteers who can help with sanitizing and usher duties on Sunday morning services. New training is required for all volunteers. There will be a 1 hour Usher/Greeter training session on Thursday July 9th beginning @ 6:30 p.m.  For anyone interested in attending please email Evie Johnson (evnkent@att.net).  Also, we will need some additional volunteer help with audio, camera, presentation, and live stream so we can live stream and have people in the sanctuary. New technical volunteers will get up and running in July – email Pastor Dan if you are interested in joining the team (dan@bataviacov.org).
