During this pandemic, we want to be available to help those in need. Do you have basic needs that we can help with, do you know someone who does? If so, please complete a help form below by clicking on this link -https://forms.gle/QN5qVnH8s6miS3ym6. We will coordinate our efforts to care for each other and our community.
We are looking forward to more connection again within our church community through our new Community Groups which will meet for the first time on Sunday, October 25 during our regular worship service time. We have 20 leaders committed and ready to go – and we want EVERYONE to be a part of this! In order to participate, please sign up by Monday, October 19 by registering online using this form or by calling the church office (630-879-3721). Watch Pastor Eric’s midweek update and read these frequently asked questions for more information.
Each week we are asking our congregation to be in prayer for one of our supported missionaries or local mission agency. This week we ask that we each bring John and Letha Kerl to God in prayer. John and Letha Kerl are our mission partners serving Europe. They oversee all Covenant missionaries in Europe and work with a variety of church leaders and partners to work toward common goals and objectives. This past summer they relocated to Washington state, able to conduct much of their work over the internet (just like many of us). They recently asked for prayer for the following: The strengthening and deepening of their partnerships in Europe. Staff dealing with visa issues in their country of service. Wisdom in leading the Serve Globally team in Europe. Continued grace and comfort as they mourn the loss of Letha’s mother and continue to care for her 95 year-old…
If you would like to remember a loved one you have lost, we will have an opportunity for you to do that during our service on November 1st – All Saints Day. Please email a picture to Jennifer (firstname.lastname@example.org) or bring a picture by the church office by Wednesday, 10/28/20 in order to have your loved one included in the remembrance.
We will be welcoming back to our parking lot all of the high school students who have rented a parking spot from us for this school year on both Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th at 7:00 am. The students have been split into two teams depending on the first initial of their last name to reduce the number of students in the high school building at one time. If you love to get up early and greet high school students or you miss seeing your high school friends from Bulldog Breakfast, please join us either or both of these mornings as we welcome the students back to school and parking with us.
