Weekly Newsletter

Starting on Sunday, September 13th, from 8:30 am - 9:45 am, Gary Warner invites you to join a new virtual small group study on Zoom. They will be studying the book "Romans - 13 Lessons To Deepen Our Understanding Of The Christian Faith". For the Zoom Meeting ID and Password, please see the church's weekly email or contact Gary Warner. To request a study guide, please email Gary at garywarner1@comcast.net.
Youth Group is a weekly program for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students. The purpose of Youth Ministry at Batavia Covenant Church is to reach out to students in our church and in our community to draw them into a relationship with Jesus Christ through providing opportunities to learn about God with biblical teaching and respond to the story of the gospel with a safe, accepting, and inclusive community of peers and leaders. If you would like more information about Youth Group or Youth Ministries, make sure you sign up here for email alerts and newsletters or contact Pastor Dan for more information!
We encourage you to still remember Batavia Covenant Church with your tithes and offerings and support what God is doing in this place! You can give online by going to bit.ly/giving2bcc or you can mail checks to Batavia Covenant Church, 1314 Main St., Batavia, IL 60510. Thank you for your support in these challenging times!

Intergenerational Worship

On the first Sunday of every month, we worship intergenerationally. This means that: Covenant Kids (Kindergarten - 2nd grade and 3rd - 5th grade) remain in the sanctuary for the whole service. Preschoolers start in the sanctuary with their parents until invited to their classroom. They will rejoin us for communion. The Minis class for two-year-olds and Nursery care for birth to 24-months-old will be offered throughout the whole service. Please be sure that your child knows what to expect so they can enter into worship fully. Come and join us as we celebrate God's gift of His Son Jesus, and the gift of each other!

Second Cereal Sunday

Usually at this time of year we would be resuming our “Second Cereal Sunday” collection of breakfast cereal to help provide backpacks full of meals for school children each weekend. However, that program is “on hold” until a process can be established within the safety guidelines that our Batavia schools are pursuing. Please pray for wisdom and the discernment of a clear path of helping meet the needs of those families who, in the past, relied on such help throughout the school year.
